Grout Curtain
Specialty Grouting Subcontractor responsible for the installation of a 1,100 foot long single row grout curtain. The grout curtain forms a water seepage barrier in the rock foundation below a RCC Dam constructed concurrent with the foundation grouting. The work included: grout mix development, drilling grout holes in rock, washing grout holes, water testing of grout holes, routine quality control testing of grout mixes, and production grouting utilizing computer monitoring. Several grout mixes were used to suit existing site conditions.
IntelliGrout® was introduced to provide powerful analytical and graphical tools for production grouting analysis. The system is integrated with AutoCAD and provides never before available graphical representations of water testing and grouting data for closure analysis.
