Atherley Narrows Piers 3 & 4
 Upon installation of bridge caissons, a karst formation was discovered in the underlying rock. To develop the required structural support in the caissons, a mini pile support system was specified. Six newly constructed bridge caissons were affected by this situation. more information |

Clarksburg Postal Facility
 Since construction of the United States Postal Service sorting facility in Clarksburg, WV, the building has experienced ongoing differential settlement. As a result, damage occurred within the building. The damage was limited to cosmetic items such as cracks in the drywall, misaligned door frames, and cracks in the floor. To mitigate the ongoing settlement, a frac grouting program was specified as the method of treatment for the soils beneath the facility. ACT was the Prequalified Grouting Contractor awarded the contract for the frac grouting project. more information |

Des Joachims Generating Station
 ACT has completed several penstock rehabilitation projects for Ontario Power Generation (formerly Ontario Hydro) including several penstock relining projects at the Des Joachims Generating Station. more information |

High-Speed Railway
 The project was designed and constructed to provide ground stabilization prior to construction a new high-speed rail line. To accomplish the ground improvement, compaction grouting of the existing soils was the specified treatment. ACT was awarded the contract for the compaction grouting by LAL Construction. more information |

Improvements to a Portion of Line B
 The objective of the project was to stabilize ground prior to hand mining activities for the lowering of a combined concrete arch and round corrugated metal tunnel. To accomplish this stabilization a number of grouting techniques were used, including, contact grouting, compensation grouting, and a combination permeation/fracture grouting. more information |
