Advanced Construction Techniques Ltd. (ACT) was incorporated in 1992 to provide specialized contracting services for the Civil and Geotechnical Engineering industry. We provide a wide range of ground modification and seepage control services including large dam seepage cut-off curtains, foundation settlement controls/arrestment utilizing compensation techniques, tunnel settlement and support, tunnel seepage control.

Our primary focus is multifaceted geotechnical construction projects. These projects require innovative solutions utilizing highly specialized techniques and necessitate strong engineering on-the-fly, quality control and assurance, cost management control and best value. Our typical projects include seepage control and stabilization of large earthen and concrete dams, along with underground structure reconstruction encompassing subways, tunnels, railway, water supply aqueducts, mines, penstocks, and the like. ACT is continually pushing technological limits to their extent in order to provide best value to our clients. Working in partnership with Gannett Fleming, Inc. we have developed the IntelliGrout® System which is a comprehensive integration of data collection, real-time data display, database functions, real-time analytical capabilities, and CADD. To accurately manage large seepage/compensation projects in real time control of field activities.

We have successfully completed projects requiring our special expertise throughout North America. We are continually improving, modifying and developing our techniques based on our project experiences. For over a decade our practical experience and developed skills have made us an innovator in these specialized industries.

Specialty projects require unique equipment and since our very first project, we have acquired a wide range of specialized equipment. Much of our equipment has been specially designed to meet our clients’ project requirements. We maintain an inventory of specialty equipment and support which exceeds $50 million.
